And whatever strategy is formed, it will have blessing of IV and participating member. Please reply for this post. Be serious. I am not joking.

Santosh_gc, I don't have a problem when you talk about illegals getting ahead of legals etc. But the comment about illegal immigrants bringing corruption into the U.S. was way out of line. It is unfair that illegal immigrants may get ahead of legal immigrants. Let us leave it at that and not speculate on how they might introduce corruption into society. No discussions on how they break the law when they enter the country - that is a bogus argument. Just about every one of us breaks the law every time he/she gets behind the wheel of a car, unless you claim you always drive the speed limit. By your logic, then every immigrant from India can be disallowed as we are exposed to as much corruption in India as there is in Mexico and we might infect the U.S. culture just as much. I would like to know if I will get in trouble if I do this:
First, switch to a completely unrelated job after 180 days of I485 filing,
then, switch back to similar job when my priority date becomes current or close to becoming current.
Does USCIS check what other jobs have I done during the entire adjustee period or it is only concerned about the job at the time of adjudication?

Prior to getting your GC, you can work

Until you get your GC, you are supposed to be a guest worker. USCIS only cares if sponsoring employer (or any other employer after 180 days of AOS pending) has a job offer for you on your getting GC.
If you are already working with the employer (prior to or at the time of getting GC) where you would work AFTER getting your GC, it only re-enforces your and your employers intentions.
So, in brief answer to your question is, no you will not be in trouble, as long as sponsoring employer (or any other employer after 180 days) is willing to confirm their intentions of hiring you if and when USCIS asks for it.

In Fox News this afternoon, the senator has explicitly said that the Chicago lady does not have any "constituional rights" since she is not American citizen. Go figure what they think about us.
Congressman is absolutely worng. I hope they give such statements more and more and put their big foot into their even bigger mouth. once a h1/f1 etc visa has been issued to an individual, that individual has the right to be treated the same way as any other american till the time of his/her stay in the USA.

1 Could you call up the IO and ask them what to do ?
2 Meanwhile check wiith ur lawyer.

Has anyone with the following criteria got receipt notice or have their check cashed ?
1) I-140 approved at TSC
2) LUD on I-140 on 07/22, 07/28, 08/05, 08/12 etc...
3) I-485 mailed to NSC during last week of June or early July ?

Last week i received a letter from my canadian lawyer to send my passport to buffalo for stamping. The last date mentioned is March,08
Regarding me, I got through canadian immigration with mine and my wife's points. My wife is a Permanent resident for last 3 years 10 months in US. I am in EB3 category. PD Oct 06.
When checked the rules for maintaining PR in US for my wife, She cannot apply for PR in any other country till the time she is a PR in this country. As per the lawyers she will have a difficulty in applying for citizenship.
Now, I cannot myself apply for canadian immigration. because its a joint filing. What should i do?
