Did you send out the latest letters...I am getting a positive feed back ..that approximately at least 500 letters have gone out..we started to make noise.. and we will see the results eventually...More action items will follow in comming weeks..Dont forget the high five though campaign though ;)

I have heard that getting a Canadian Green Card is faster. May be that is another alternative for you.

Yes, case was originally filed at NSC on July 2nd and on august 24th it got transferred to TSC.
Does the transfer matter here, because dingudi's case is not a transfer case and he's still waiting...
not sure how far its true but came across some posts on http://www.immigration.com
stating that transfer cases from NSC-TSC are facing some delays in FP (even after SR) compared to NSC-CSC-NSC cases. heard couple of success stories with SR from NSC-CSC-NSC cases.
I'm also in the same boat, haven't opened SR yet.

Im really not sure if this helps EB3 cases. for example in my case i have a bachelors degree + 10 years expereince and stuck in EB3. I dont think this will help me because I dont have an US degree.

That is correct, but it will help thousands of people who come on F1 visas and then transition in to H1B and have their GC being processed. I think that we need to look at what the U.S wants to get out of all this too and not just our perspectives.

If we are worried about security alert maight be raised by flowers, then send just a 'Thank You' card.

Careful my friend. Porting rules will be as tough as the rules for applying in Eb2. If you make porting difficult, you will set a higher standard for the approval of your application in Eb2 ending up with the possible rejection of yours and other Eb2 applications.
Why would you want to stop someone eligible to apply in Eb2? If someone has met all the criteria, the same criteria you had to fulfill when applying in Eb2, then what is the problem?

I dont believe in flower/food/sos campaigns to resolve this problem...just because it worked once before doesnt mean it is going to work again..have we pursued a class action lawsuit against Department of State/Labor/USCIS for unlawful discrimination based on the country of birth in Employment Based Visas. Any idea if IV core ever took up this path? Can we attempt to do this? What are the costs involved and can we get some good lawyer representation to this goal?

Hi everyone,
Iam a July 3rd filer and the moneyorders for me and my wife has been cashed on September 28th. We had send 2 moneyorders for $745. Waiting for the receipts to come. Hope all of you get your receipts very soon.
Very sorry guys!!But all the information that I got from lawyer's office was wrong. They did not send my I-485 on July 2nd as I thought. When I got the receipts the received date was July 20th. Receipts are from Texas. I hope you all get your receipts soon.

As far as I know this is a genuine company and not a typical small desi company.
Did you sign some paper saying that you will reimburse the GC costs if you leave the company? If it was signed before the GC process started then it is not against the law that the company is holding back the $4K. This is a big company and I don't think the $4k matters to them much.
As far as experience letter, they have to give it.
Also, sometimes we get mad at the company even though its our own mistake. So, before filling anything with the labor department, make sure you have not signed the papers. By reporting them you are basically giving trouble to others who are in GC process through them.
i haven't signed anything related to GC filing. even it came as a surprise to me that the company is making such a big fuss for the matter of $4000. And recently came to know that its not just me but there are several other consultants being harassed by them upon leaving the company. Even after years of working with them, they still want to have them hooked and are depriving the cosultants of better living. how justified is that????

depression is created by anxiety and hopelessness.
I am also like many others, suffering from GC related depression. After reading the posts, now I feel more comfortable that I am not alone:)
Two steps I wish to take: (1) Not to think about getting GC any more. Whether I am anxious or not, it will take its own time and let me develop the habit of patiently waiting (2) Have a back-up plan ready.

Working on EAD for a short time, even in a different occupation, with 1099 is not an issue. However, this will not satisfy the requirement for 485 approval.
